Alisha Preheim

Alisha Preheim graduated from SCCS in 1983.
“I was one of four graduates that year,” shared Mrs. Preheim. “Our class was the first class to graduate from Santa Clarita Christian School. Before that, we were known as Canyon Country Christian School and our team mascot was the blue and gold Condor. I enjoyed all my junior high and high school years at CCCS\SCCS. I was involved in many of the same types of activities that kids are involved in today. I loved being a cheerleader, playing softball, volleyball yearbook and participating in student council.
After graduating from SCCS, Mrs. Preheim attended Biola University where she received her degree in Liberal Studies and Bible. Upon her graduation in 1987, she returned to SCCS and taught alongside several of those whom had been her teachers. She is currently teaching second grade at SCCS.
“My time as a student at Canyon Country Christian/Santa Clarita Christian School definitely impacted me and prepared me for my future,” shared Mrs. Preheim. “My high school Bible teacher, Gregg Pfister, taught me the importance of trusting in the Lord and allowing him to lead me in my life. He took an interest in my spiritual life and made sure that I was involved in church each week. As a senior, I was able to be an assistant to Mrs. Reid, the Kindergarten teacher. She allowed me to work with her students and encouraged me to pursue my dream of teaching. Because of her encouragement, I became a teacher.”
Mrs. Preheim has had the unique opportunity to be a student, teacher and a parent at SCCS. “It has been amazing to see and witness over the years all of the growth and changes that have taken place,” shared Mrs. Preheim. “I’m thankful that all four of my children have been able to go to and graduate from SCCS. My daughter Kaitlyn graduated from SCCS in 2010. She attended The Master’s University and graduated with a degree in Biology and now also teaches at her alma mater. Noah graduated in 2014, Hannah graduated in 2015 and Sydney graduated last year. All are pursuing their degrees from The Master’s University in various vocations such as: applied mathematics, English and social work.
Mrs. Preheim and her family are all members of Grace Baptist Church and she is also a part of a Grace Group, ABF and helps in Grace Kids ministries.
